Okay, I used to be a rocket scientist quite literally, as I worked for Lockheed in the 80's on the Trident II program.
I went to graduate school at the University of Illinois studying Nuclear Fusion, but was called to active duty by the US Army before I finished my degree.
I worked as a research assistant at Illinois in the Nuclear-Pumped Laser Group of the Fusion Studies Laboratory.
Sound sophisticated, but it was fun. I liked to refer to what we did as putting a rectal thermometer into a nuclear reactor (we placed laser tubes into open beam ports). The degree of laser stimulation depended on how "hot" the reactor was. It was cool.
Now, I like to program my PC for fun. I would like to earn money doing it, but Rock Island isn't the place for it.
Anyone have any ideas? Let me know.
Tim.
